Madhya Pradesh, in November 2024, declared Pankaj Tripathi the new brand ambassador of tourism. After that, Pankaj Tripathi became the ambassador of MP Tourism, representing the state through multiple promotions, keeping the culture, heritage, and nature of the state in focus.
Most probably, you would come across Pankaj Tripathi in the advertisements of Madhya Pradesh if you see ads depicting the rich history or wildlife of Madhya Pradesh. With his association, the goal is to increase not only the domestic but also the global tourist flow to the state.
Health Campaigns and Madhuri Dixit
Madhuri Dixit had been chosen by the state as the face of the “Mamata Abhiyan” campaign to promote health-related projects in the state. This took place in 2014, and she continues to be its ambassador.
The initiative is geared towards improving maternal and child health throughout the state. Her participation is pivotal in promoting awareness as well as public involvement in health programs, more so in the villages.
Previous Campaign Ambassadors
Over the years, Madhya Pradesh has associated different celebrities with different causes. In 2019, the actor Govinda was appointed the brand ambassador of the state to promote the culture and tourism of the state. This was a campaign of short duration that was mainly focused on attracting the public’s attention towards MP’s tourism initiatives.
Moreover, the government went another path, just a bit different, for such initiatives as the Ladli Laxmi Yojana program. They desired that the main feature of the campaign be the real beneficiaries instead of well-known people. The idea was to inspire more people by presenting true cases of success in their own environment.
