Brand Ambassador Of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao

The Beti Bachao Beti Padhao was a great initiative that was started back in 2015 by the Indian government, and the one that is still going strong. It has come a long way, and we have already seen improvement in whatever the condition previously was in the country. The credit also goes to some famous faces who have helped in spreading the word, and those who we call the Brand Ambassadors of Beti Bachao Beti Padhao. But we can’t just tell you a single name because there are many who have been the face of this campaign over the years. So, let’s just get to that first.

National Brand Ambassadors

At the national level, some very famous personalities have been selected as brand ambassadors for BBBP:

  • Madhuri Dixit (2015): She was the very first ambassador for this campaign, and along with that, she keeps on spreading the awareness of women’s empowerment and women’s education.
  • Sakshi Malik (2016): She was the one who had been invited to join the campaign in 2016. She stood for the girls to get success in sports and combat gender bias.
  • Tamannaah Bhatia (2016): She was associated with FOGSI (Federation of Obstetric and Gynaecological Societies of India) to back the movement, particularly in the villages.

State-Level Brand Ambassadors

Several states have set up their own brand ambassadors to manage the local situations:

  • Haryana: Female wrestler Sakshi Malik was appointed the state ambassador in 2016 to fight female foeticide. Later in 2024, Olympian Manu Bhaker was also brought in to energize the young girls. The state, in 2025, was aiming to empower women village leaders by considering them as local ambassadors.
  • Madhya Pradesh: Annually, in 2024, the mountaineer Bhawna Dehariya Mishra and her daughter Siddhi Mishra were and are being selected as the role models of girls growing up in a supportive family and achieving great things.
  • Telangana: Actress Rakul Preet Singh was appointed as the brand ambassador in 2017 with a view to bringing about equality in education.
  • Uttarakhand: Anukriti Gusain was signed in 2024 to inspire women to overcome the age-old prejudice and aim at loftier goals.
  • Rajasthan: The state campaign on the matter of the issue was led by Paralympic gold medalist Avani Lekhara, who was appointed as the ambassador.
