The brand ambassadors of Haryana are not randomly selected. The state selects the individuals whose names are known and who are trusted by people, particularly in the rural areas, where an endorsement is still more effective than a flashy advertisement. When a familiar person supports an idea, it creates a stronger connection and remains for a longer time.

For instance, communication on topics such as the education of girl children, yoga, or drug prevention would be much easier and effective if a trusted face delivered the message. Besides cutting down on time and costs, it also fosters a feeling of pride among the community members. Plain and clever.

Brand Ambassadors Leading the Way in 2025

Here’s a closer look at who’s taking the lead this year in different campaigns across Haryana:

Yoga & Ayurveda

Since 2015, Baba Ramdev has been the poster man for yoga and Ayurveda in Haryana. His job is to spread yoga in schools and villages, besides aiding herbal garden schemes all over the state. The government went a step further and gave him a cabinet-rank post, but he refused and decided to go on with his work.

Tourism & Heritage

For the last eight years, Dharmendra and Hema Malini, the old and super-famous film stars, have been the brand ambassadors of Haryana Tourism. They have been instrumental in bringing the Surajkund Crafts Mela event into the limelight and also in promoting various heritage sites of the state. Official Haryana Tourism publicity materials and invitation cards still feature their photographs, thus continuing to possess that old-fashioned elegance.

Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao

In August 2016, Olympic wrestler Sakshi Malik was appointed the ambassador of the girl child education campaign. She is still very much the role model that the young girls of Haryana look up to.

In January 2025, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini declared that the female village heads in Haryana would be the brand ambassadors of the campaign and they would promote it in their villages. Besides, Olympian shooter Manu Bhaker came on board in August 2024 to motivate the students and women athletes.

Drug-Free Haryana & Youth Fitness

On the 25th of July, 2025, the renowned Paralympic archer, Harvinder Singh, was invited to be the head of campaigns that focus on fitness and drug prevention among youth. He took charge of the Haryana Uday program and was very active not only in the half-marathons but also in the local fitness drives that were organized. He motivates young people to become physically fit and also to lead a drug-free life.
