In the last couple of years, the growth that Mi has shown all over the world has just insane. It is a sub-brand of Xiaomi, and that’s how it made it to the ranks of one of the most selling smartphone brands in the entire world. And that wasn’t just done because they had good phones, nah, they had to utilize the power of marketing, especially the face value of famous people. So, let’s talk about how Mi pulled this off and who their brand ambassadors are as of right now.

Who Is The Current Brand Ambassador Of Mi?

India: Katrina Kaif, Pankaj Tripathi & Disha Patani

In India, Xiaomi has associated itself with some renowned personalities. The popular Bollywood actress, Katrina Kaif, is the main brand ambassador of Xiaomi India for all the diverse product categories that include smartphones, TVs, tablets, and the like. She was made the announcement on September 6, 2024, and at that time, she was not only the face but also the concept for all the campaigns of 2025.

But that’s not all. Xiaomi also splits ambassador roles based on product lines:

  • On May 16, 2023, Pankaj Tripathi was introduced as the brand ambassador of Redmi smartphones.
  • Since the Redmi Buds 4 Active launch event in June 2023, Disha Patani has been the face of the audio and mobile accessories category at Redmi.

Southeast Asia: BamBam for Redmi Note

BamBam (from GOT7) has been the most preferred representative for the Redmi Note series in Southeast Asia. In January 2024, Xiaomi announced that BamBam would be the global face of the Redmi Note 13 series, and along with the Redmi Note 14 series launch, the collaboration was extended into 2025.

Actually, they went a step further and launched a BamBam Limited Edition mobile in the middle of 2025. The handset was targeted at such markets as Malaysia and Thailand, where it was accessible. It definitely was an intelligent decision to target the teen demographic by tapping into their K-pop and pop culture craze.

China: Fan Zhendong as “Champion Ambassador”

Redmi signed Fan Zhendong, the table tennis world champion, to be the “Champion Ambassador” of Redmi in China. The event where the Redmi K80 series was unveiled in November 2024 was the occasion for the announcement of this.

Not by a long shot was the partnership. Subsequently, in January 2025, Xiaomi launched a K80 accessory that was table-tennis-themed and organized live interactions with Fan Zhendong. It has been a popular campaign and is still going strong this year.
